Sustainability leader: Adler & Allan ranked in top 20% worldwide for sustainability by EcoVadis

Published: 23 July 2024

EcoVadis – the world’s largest sustainability ratings provider – has ranked Adler & Allan in the top 20% of companies for sustainability.

Over the past 12 months, we have improved our EcoVadis score by 13 points and achieved a Bronze Medal. While Bronze is awarded to companies in the top 35%, we're delighted to have jumped from the 49th to 80th percentile, putting us in the top 20%.

This improvement has been driven by the implementation our new ESG strategy, ‘ESG In Action’. Particular progress was noted in our social performance, were we demonstrated our initiatives on diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI), training & development, and health & safety.

Over 130,000 companies across the world use EcoVadis to gauge and improve their sustainability performance.

To get a rating from EcoVadis, a company needs to complete a comprehensive questionnaire covering four areas:

  • Environment
  • Labour & Human Rights
  • Ethics
  • Sustainable Procurement

The standardised assessment means that companies can use the EcoVadis platform to benchmark their sustainability credentials against their peers, customers and suppliers.

In January this year, EcoVadis changed their ranking system to award medals based on percentile ranks rather than absolute scores, meaning that only the highest performing companies are awarded with a medal.

EcoVadis has given a competitive and aspirational edge to sustainability ratings which encourages constant improvement. This strive for improvement is integral for corporate sustainability; transforming it from a tick-box exercise to an ongoing mission.

We are proud of the advancements we have made this year, and we are looking forward to reaching the next level of our ESG In Action.
